This is Carson and this is real. My labor law practice is not all about fancy highrise buildings where I go and sit with my clients during their depositions, or prove-up their case at a mediation or arbitration in a swanky address office tower. Representing workers is about representing people, real people. My clients do not always live in the best part of town. Whether they move after the case is over is another story.
It's still summer and today was a great day at the beach in Santa Monica by the Annenberg Beach House. One day off and ready for another six day week or hard work and hard labor.
See what looks like a cone in the water? Three decades ago when I was learning how to sail a 27 foot Erickson my instructor gave me an exercise involving that cone, or one where it used to be. I had to stop in front of it, circle it, and back into it.Well, many years later you think I am competent enough to maneuver this 50+ foot twin diesel flybridge around the cone? Looks like I am about to try.
Mother's Beach, Marina Del Rey near sunset. A nice place to wait while you are waiting for your table at the Cheese Cake Factory.
Marina Del Rey Boat Show in full swing today. Both power and sail on display as well as new and used. Brought back lots of memories when I had my boats in Marina Del Rey from 1999-2007 before I moved my boating operations to Oxnard.
Seriously, why does this need to look like this? I hate to be a complainer, but I am tired of these eyesore construction projects around Los Angeles that do nothing to alleviate traffic, and cause all sorts of nuisances for extended periods of time.
This what drywall mud looks when it is drying. For those of you who think I merely represent workers... Well, my hands are in quite a few construction trades. I am getting close to being done building a waterfront residential/office in Oxnard. This is an upstairs laundry room in the living quarters.
Today I attended a robotics competition at this Los Angeles private middle and high school. It's amazing what kind of architectural quality some of these private schools have that have recently used their building campaigns to actually build.
The Proud Bird in Inglewood has provided an aviation theme to the area since 1967. You can watch jets return from international travel, or peruse their vintage planes in back. LAX wants to take over this land so go while you can!
