Over the weekend I saw a very interesting movie from 1961 called Madison Avenue. I recommend seeing this movie for the following historic reasons: 1) It has David White as the head of an advertising agency before his role in Bewitched as Larry Tate; 2) One of the main characters tells the protagonist she first began hating him when she told him rightly if the agency she inherited failed she would have to be, "Extra nice" to the merchandising manager at a $60 a week ad copy job in a department store.The film is ripe with references to sexual harassment in the workplace back in 1961, and sexism.
